At times, I incorporate colourful flowers into my painting. It adds another layer of meaning and connection to the viewer as they often associated 

with beauty, vitality and growth.

I'd say the flowers act as a multi sensory vehicle for me. They are nice to paint because they alreasy hold a composition, they are pleasing shapes, they are beautiful colours.
